NEED TO KNOW
- Taylor Swift has been a New York Knicks fan since at least 2014 and reportedly owns an Amar’e Stoudemire jersey
- Knicks radio analyst Monica McNutt apologized after questioning Swift’s fandom during the 2026 NBA Finals
- Swift has been spotted courtside at multiple Knicks games, next to other celebrity fans like Ben Stiller and Kate Upton
Taylor Swift's love for New York City is well documented — and that love extends to one of the Big Apple's beloved basketball teams.
Since 2014, the pop star has been spotted cheering for the New York Knicks in at least four different games. Though she hasn't been as vocal about her fandom, like Ben Stiller and Timothée Chalamet, her courtside support isn't as fair-weather as some may think.
Knicks lead radio analyst Monica McNutt caught some heat from Swifties after she said that "The Fate of Ophelia" singer was "not a Knicks fan" and told her to "get out of here" after spotting her on celebrity row at Madison Square Garden during the 2026 NBA Finals. McNutt told TMZ that she stood corrected after learning that Swift has an old Amar'e Stoudemire jersey.
"I mispoke, I did not know," she explained in June 2026, adding that she hadn't seen the singer at a game before. "But shout-out to T-Swift, we can be united in orange and blue."
