Montana Jordan is kicking off 2025 on a high note!
The Young Sheldon star, 21, announced on Instagram on Jan. 5 that he popped the question to girlfriend Jenna Weeks. He shared a series of photos of the proposal, which took place outside with a romantic setup that included rose petals covering the ground and large letters that read “Marry Me?”
One snapshot captures the moment when Jordan — who also stars in the new spinoff series George & Mandy’s First Marriage — got down on one knee and presented a surprised looking Weeks with a diamond engagement ring.
In the caption of the post, Jordan wrote a touching message for his new fiancée: “To the woman I love most. You are the light of my life, Sweetheart. I love you to the moon and back a million times and more.”
He added, “I can’t wait to see what the future brings for us and our family.”
A number of fellow celebrities offered their well-wishes for the newly engaged couple in the comments, including Melissa Joan Hart and Jordan’s Young Sheldon costar Melissa Peterman, who wrote, “Congratulations!!!!! ❤️❤️.”
Jordan and Weeks — the latter of whom first began posting about their relationship on social media in 2021, when they were both high school seniors — welcomed a daughter, named Emma Rae, together in May 2024. The actor shared the news of her birth on Instagram at the time, alongside a photo of himself holding the newborn, who was swaddled in a blanket.
“5/21/2024 God has blessed me with a beautiful babygirl. Emma Rae Jordan, Momma and Daddy love you. Forever and always,” he wrote in the caption.
Young Sheldon star Iain Armitage commented on the post, celebrating his new “uncle” status: “I can’t wait to meet her!! I’ve always wanted to be an uncle!! So happy for you!! Congratulations ❤️.”
Last September, Jordan opened up to PEOPLE about how he was enjoying fatherhood.
“It’s been great for me. There’s nothing better,” he said at the CBS Hosts Sit-Down Comedy Event in Los Angeles. “She’s 4 months old now, and I’ve got two little nieces, a 5-year-old niece and a 2-year-old niece. So I’ve been around kids, and I’ve always loved them, but I can give my nieces back.”
“I can’t give mine back. I’m stuck with her,” he joked. “I’m just kidding. No, but she’s great. There’s nothing better than freaking being a dad. There’s nothing better, for sure.”
In George & Mandy’s First Marriage, which premiered in October 2024, Jordan reprises his role as Georgie Cooper, Sheldon Cooper’s brother. He stars opposite Emily Osment, who plays his wife, Mandy McAllister. The show follows the young couple as they raise their new baby in Texas “while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenting and marriage,” according to a synopsis.
A month before the show’s premiere, Jordan shared a post on Instagram, revealing that his baby daughter had a chance to hang out on set with him. Alongside a photo of the pair in which the actor holds a director’s clapboard, he wrote, “Emma Rae on set of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.”
