A woman in Ohio claims her car was towed right out of her driveway — and she has no leads as to who took it.
According to CBS affiliate WOIO, Brittany Ealey allegedly came home the morning of Friday, March 7, to find that her black 2015 Nissan Rogue was not sitting in her driveway, where she had left it.
Ealey, a property manager, told the local station that she initially believed that her car had been towed away by the city while she wasn’t home.
“I thought the city thought the property was vacant and they removed it,” she told the outlet.
After reviewing security camera footage from a neighbor across the street, Ealey alleged her car had been towed by a truck with no visible logos at around 6 a.m. local time. She then discovered that the city did not have possession of her car.
“It’s not under repossession, also, it’s not in the impound,” she told the outlet.
The grainy black and white security camera footage, obtained by WOIO, shows a large pickup truck backing into Ealey’s driveway and pulling away with her car towing behind it.
Additionally, just one week after her car went missing, Ealey claimed she found her license plate sitting in the street. She told the outlet that she became concerned that her car had been stolen, and that the tow truck was not legitimate.

“I’m not sure if it’s a company,” she said. “It looks like a private vehicle.”
The property manager added that she had filed a police report with Cleveland police and hoped that investigators might be able to use security camera footage to track down where the truck had taken her car.
“I don’t care if they leave it on the corner somewhere, or just out in the open,” Ealey told WOIO. “I would like my vehicle.”
