Tyler Lucas outlasted 199 other competitors to become the winner of Beast Games season 2.
The U.S. Air Force pilot took home the $5.1 million prize during the Feb. 25 finale, which aired on Amazon Prime Video. "I'm a competitor," he told Gold Derby after his win. "The ultimate goal for me was to make it to the end. I was willing to take my chances — no bribes, taking my fair share — to move on and hopefully get the chance to compete for the ultimate prize."
For Lucas, a husband and father of two young sons, it wasn’t his first reality competition: He previously competed on NBC's The Titan Games, hosted by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and was eliminated just before the finale.
Beast Games has previously been the subject of controversy. In September 2024, MrBeast's company and Amazon were sued by several season 1 contestants over alleged mistreatment, sexual harassment and unpaid wages. Amazon has repeatedly declined to comment on the suit, while a representative for MrBeast told The Hollywood Reporter in a statement that the shoot was "unfortunately complicated by the CrowdStrike incident, extreme weather, and other unexpected logistical and communications issues." The suit is ongoing.

Tyler won Beast Games season 2 during the Feb. 25 finale.
In the final challenge, Tyler (player No. 167) faced Cory Sims (player No. 191). The two alternated hiding a $5 million check inside one of 10 suitcases while the other contestant was blindfolded. After removing the blindfold, the player had to guess which suitcase held the prize. It took several tense rounds before Tyler selected the correct case and secured the win.
So far, Tyler hasn’t spent any of the money. He plans to take his family on vacation, set aside a portion for his children and is also weighing retirement.
“I’m kind of playing it safe right now just to make the best decisions with the money,” he told Dexerto in February 2026. “I definitely want to make sure that I do what I can to set my kids up for life.”
As for a possible return in season 3, Tyler said he’d welcome the chance.
“I would definitely love to come back and essentially play a similar role to Jeff [Randall Allen, the season 1 winner],” he told Gold Derby. “It's only right to make sure there's a good steward for season 3 and just pay it forward.”
