Kristine and Todd Blanche have been married for three decades.
The defense attorney — who President Donald Trump named acting attorney general on April 2 after firing Pam Bondi — met his wife while they were college students studying abroad in Australia over the summer, per the Financial Times.
They later married in July 1996 and welcomed two children: Justin and Sydney. In 2023, they became grandparents when their daughter gave birth, per Kristine's Instagram.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Kristine earned her Ph.D and M.D. and worked as a trauma technologist, physician assistant and medical doctor in New York and Florida. In 2008, she opened a holistic medicine practice that offers nutrition services, vitamin drips and detox programs, among other services.

Todd and Kristine met while studying abroad

The couple met in college while both were studying abroad in Australia, according to the Financial Times.
Todd was enrolled at American University in Washington, D.C., and Kristine was pursuing a degree in biology at the nearby Catholic University.
After graduating with her bachelor's degree in biology in 1994, Tom's wife went on to earn her Ph.D in medicine and her M.D. from the University of Science, Art and Technology, per her LinkedIn.
She’s an integrative medicine doctor
Kristine spent the first two decades of her career working as a trauma technologist and a physician assistant, according to her LinkedIn.
While working as a doctor at a plastic surgery office in New York, she opened the Integrative Healing Center, a holistic medicine practice specializing in preventive care, food allergies and intolerances, digestive wellness, detoxification and other functional medicine modalities.
According to her website, she pivoted away from practicing conventional medicine in 2004 after becoming a caretaker simultaneously for her grandfather, sister-in-law and father, the latter two of whom were both diagnosed with different types of cancer.

In July 1996, the couple got married in the Bahamas, according to an Instagram post Kristine shared in 2021 to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.
Todd was 20 at the time, and they had to live with Kristine's parents while he worked as a paralegal and put himself through law school, the Financial Times and New York magazine reported.
Though she has not pursued a career in law, Kristine has been by Todd's side during milestone moments in his career, including when he first agreed to represent Trump in 2023.
They share two kids
Kristine and Todd have welcomed two children throughout their three-decade-long marriage. Their daughter, Sydney, was born on Dec. 12, 1996, followed two years later by their son, Justin, on Oct. 1, 1998.
According to his LinkedIn profile, Justin graduated with his bachelor's degree in business marketing in 2021.
Though Sydney has kept her personal life more private, Kristine did share on Instagram that she welcomed a daughter in September 2023.
