Rafael works as the creative director of Faena Hotel, a luxury hospitality brand that specializes in hotels and restaurants. According to his bio with the company, Rafael is “in charge of materializing Alan Faena´s vision and work to improve the Faena district, which was created in collaboration with the incredible minds of Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martins, Ximena Caminos, Juan Gatti, Rem Koolhas, Foster, Oma, Francis Mallman, Paul qui and many more.”
The bio further points out that Rafael works other side hustles, mainly as an art director for jobs in “fashion campaigns, editorials, advertising, exhibitions, TV, theatre and events.”
Rafael Olarra Previously Dated Luke Evans
From 2019 to 2021, Rafael’s personal life became a headline when he dated Luke Evans. The former couple went public with their relationship in February 2019, when Luke shared an Instagram video from their trip to Hawaii.
“He loves my Welsh humour….no, honestly!! He does!!” Luke captioned the video, per People.
By early 2021, the pair had broken up, Luke confirmed during an interview with The Times’ Saturday Review. “It is what it is,” he said without another word on their breakup.

Rafael became a major headline after he and Pedro were spotted spending time together on a few occasions in February 2026. At one point, they were seen walking arm in arm, and Rafael even appeared to kiss Pedro’s shoulder in photos published by TMZ.
