Sorry everyone, Dylan Efron — a.k.a. Miss Guided — is taken.
The Traitors star — who is also actor Zac Efron’s younger brother — stole the hearts of viewers everywhere during his time on the competition reality show. But off-screen, he’s been in a long-term relationship with his high school sweetheart, Courtney King.
The private couple haven’t revealed when they started dating, though photos of them appear on Efron’s Instagram as early as October 2016. Since then, the reality TV star hasn’t shared many details about their relationship, though he has been candid about their long-term potential.
During a March 2025 appearance on The Viall Files podcast, Efron shared “she knows the answer” about whether or not marriage is down the line, and assured hosts Natalie Joy and Nick Viall that they weren’t going to stay boyfriend and girlfriend forever.
“Courtney’s so down to earth,” Efron said. “She’s not going to put a deadline on me.”
While he has been fairly quiet about their relationship, Efron has opened up about some of his dating preferences. During a February 2025 interview with We Met At Acme, he shared that “having an independent person is amazing.”
So who is Dylan Efron’s girlfriend? Here’s everything to know about Courtney King and her relationship with The Traitors star.
They met in high school

Efron and King met while in high school, as he revealed during his appearance on The Viall Files.
“We’re from the same hometown,” Efron said.
They haven’t shared what year they met or began dating, though Efron has been posting photos with King on Instagram since at least October 2016.
She prefers to stay out of the spotlight

While Efron has followed in his brother’s footsteps with a career in Hollywood, King prefers to stay more private.
“It’s cool because she’s actually not on social media and she works a 40-hour-a-week job,” Efron said on The Viall Files. “It works out really well, it’s not like I’m hiding her from the world or anything. She understands the job, all that stuff. She doesn’t really like being on camera.”

Although King isn’t putting herself in front of the camera much, she keeps up with the world of reality TV — and her knowledge might have subtly shaped Efron’s experience on The Traitors.
Efron told Viall that she “loves” their podcast, and that he “wouldn’t know about it” if King didn’t introduce him to it. Once he arrived to The Traitors, Efron used some knowledge he learned from the podcast to form connections with fellow players, specifically Vanderpump Rules‘ Tom Sandoval.
During a February 2025 interview with Cosmopolitan, Efron recalled his first words to Sandoval being, “You look really familiar.”
“I had no idea who he was. And he’s like, ‘Yeah, you probably know me from…’ ” Efron said, referencing Sandoval’s cheating scandal with ex-girlfriend Ariana Madix, a.k.a. Scandoval.
“I was like, ‘Oh, I think I listened to a Nick Viall podcast with you,’ ” Efron continued. “I told my girlfriend I said that and she was like, ‘That wasn’t the podcast you should have said. It wasn’t his best moment.’ “
She influenced Efron’s love of reality TV

Efron has been vocal about his love of CBS’s hit show Survivor — and he shares that reality TV passion with King.
“Survivor was the day one. I watched all the old school Survivors and quite a few of the new seasons as well,” he said on The Viall Files. “So when I showed up to the castle and it was a bunch of the all-time best Survivor players, I was like holy s— … here I am in a castle playing with my childhood heroes.”
While Survivor was his first “dabble” into the world of reality TV, he explained that his girlfriend’s passion for the genre thrust him into it all further.
“My girlfriend just watches a lot of them, too. So I’ll just be sitting down and all of a sudden I’ve watched a whole episode of Southern Charm,” Efron said. “There’s some funny s— that goes down in this stuff.”
They have a shared passion for traveling and adventure

Reality television isn’t King and Efron’s only shared interest. The pair are passionate about travel and adrenaline-filled sports.
During his appearance on The Viall Files, Efron discussed a recent rock climbing adventure in Joshua Tree, Calif., saying, “She’s a trooper. She can keep up.”
Based on Efron’s Instagram posts, the pair have enjoyed lake boat rides, explored muddy waters and hiked in Hawaii together.
Although he has a love for the outdoors, Efron got candid during a February 2025 interview with Cosmopolitan and joked that he wouldn’t recommend anyone “making a move on a camping first date.”
“No one’s at their best when they’re camping,” he said. “We’re all smelly, we are all gross.”
Efron is excited for the “next chapter”

During his appearance on The Viall Files, Efron opened up about what’s next for him and King. When asked if there is marriage in the future, Efron said, “We’re working on it.”
He assured Viall and Joy that there is no deadline or rush to tie the knot — but that he was excited for what’s to come.
“I am now in that stage, I am looking at that next chapter. I want kids,” he said. “I’ve got a little brother and sister that are like 4 and 5 now, so I’ve got to see the joy of them growing up and I want that for myself, too.”
