Scrubs is coming back to our TV screens!
After originally premiering on NBC from October 2, 2001, to May 8, 2008, and then on ABC from January 6, 2009, to March 17, 2010, the series is coming back for a revival on Feb. 25 on ABC!
The revival will feature familiar faces such as Zach Braff, Donald Faison and Sarah Chalke, giving us a better understanding of where the characters are in their lives today. When we last saw the crew, they were making major headway in their personal and professional lives, leading them down different paths.
In the original series, J.D. (Braff) and Elliot (Chalke) get married and start a family, ending their confusing love affair that lasted for years. Turk (Faison) is a professor at Winston University, chief of surgery, and a family man. Carla (Reyes) commits to being a doting mother to her children with Turk.
Now, we can see how the storyline continues, giving us comprehension on how the doctors and nurses of Sacred Heart and New Sacred Heart Hospital are doing 16 years later. It’s been a long time, and we are eager to watch.
In order to deepen the connection to the TV series, check out the astrological affiliation each character has. Their Sun signs might shock you — but 99.9% of Virgos will be able to relate to Elliot.
Aries: Dr. J.D. Dorian

Born on April 6, J.D. uses his defining Aries qualities to be one of the best doctors at Sacred Heart, yearning for the respect and admiration of his mentors and teachers. The desire to be well-liked and an ace medical practitioner is vital to J.D.’s happiness throughout the series. In the end, he succeeds, but learns to compromise and pursue what matters — his family.
Taurus: Dr. Kim Briggs

Kim can be stubborn and willful, but gives in when she sees the other side of a situation. This trait aligns with that of the Bull, who is obstinate and headstrong. However, Kim eventually comes to terms with the fact that her child’s happiness is most important, so she gives in to J.D.’s proposal to be friends, for the sake of co-parenting their baby together.
Gemini: Danni Sullivan

Danni monologues in her head as much as J.D. does, allowing her to connect with Mercurial Gemini’s inquisitive nature. Her romance with J.D. is met with confusion and uncertainty, which Geminis hate (they like to problem solve). Ultimately, Danni moves on in her life to escape the triangular relationship involving J.D., Elliot, and herself, as only a Gemini can. Danni wins by putting herself first.
Cancer: Dr. Christopher Turk

Turk’s birthday is June 22, making him a Cancer. At times, he can be alpha and have a superiority complex, but when Turk is with Carla, he's sweeter and more sensitive (because he brings out that side of him). Since Turk is close to his “dysfunctional” family, he exudes Cancerian vibes. The crab adores their home life and brood — no matter how they act.
Leo: Dr. Perry Cox

Even though his birthday is July 2, Dr. Cox radiates Leo energy. Dr. Cox is perceived as being assertive, egocentric and pushy (sorry, Leo!) — let’s say that his fiery temperament and desire to weed out the weak is closer to the lion’s fierce personality, not the crab’s. Dr. Cox has a heart of gold, reserved solely for those he cares about, similar to Leo.
Virgo: Dr. Elliot Reid

Like most Virgos, Elliot gets into her head and obsesses about matters. But that doesn't stand in the way of her medical skills. In fact, she is brilliant and an amazing doctor. Throughout the series, Elliot puts her neurosis to bed and commits to her on-and-off boyfriend, J.D. The evolution of Elliot’s character into an extremely confident person is a sentiment Virgo can relate to.
Libra: Jordan Sullivan

Libras have an air of cleverness around them. They’re sarcastic and witty, comparable to Jordan’s sense of humor and the way she addresses people. Jordan is relationship-oriented, due to her long-term love affair with Dr. Cox — they were married, divorced and then in a domestic partnership. Libras stay with the person who holds the key to their hearts, exactly how Jordan feels about her commitment.
Scorpio: The Janitor (AKA Glenn Matthews)

From the jump, the Janitor plays tricks on J.D. after assuming he jammed a hospital door with a penny. Scorpios use their stingers to hurt others who are their opps, like the Janitor's hijinks (some for fun and some to seek revenge). There are rare occasions when the Janitor's softer side is shown in a few episodes, revealing the tender sentiments of the Water sign.
Sagittarius: “The Todd” (AKA Dr. Todd Quinlan)

Known for his love of high fives and sexual innuendos, Todd doesn’t hold back. In fact, he says whatever is on his mind in the moment without a filter, which is how Sagittarians express themselves. All that aside. Todd is an absolutely amazing plastic surgeon, showcasing the knowledgeable mind of Sagittarius, a zodiac sign known for its intelligence and ability to be diligent at work.
Capricorn: Carla Espinosa

If there are two things sea goats are known for, it’s dedication to career and giving tough love to others. Carla excels as the head nurse and as a source of wisdom to those she loves (especially Elliot). Carla isn't shy about how she approaches others, making her a direct communicator, as Capricorns often are. She despises lazy co-workers because of her strong work ethic.
Aquarius: Dr. Robert Kelso

For the majority of the episodes from the series, Dr. Kelso is seen as austere and money-motivated. Upon closer inspection, his altruistic behavior is evident (not very often, but enough to note). Therefore, Dr. Kelso is a true-blue Aquarius. He’s a diamond in the rough who genuinely believes that he is making a difference in the hospital and world as only an Aquarius can.
Pisces: Ted Buckland, Esq.

As the former lawyer representing the personal and legal affairs at New Sacred Heart, Ted has an empathetic demeanor, picking up on patients' and colleagues' vibes and emotions, like a Pisces. When he leaves the hospital, Ted moves to Hawaii for love, but winds up playing guitar and reminiscing about his ex-girlfriend, a tendency of the sensitive water sign who feels the feels on an extreme level.
