Jessie J is revealing the sweet conversation she had with fellow cancer survivor Kate Middleton.
During her guest appearance on “Good Morning America” Friday, the “Domino” singer shared new details about bonding with the Princess of Wales in London last month.
“I know you’ve gone through a tough time,” the royal told Jessie J, to which she responded, “I know you have too.”
The British songstress (real name: Jessica Ellen Cornish) added, “And I said, ‘I just want to let you know, mom to mom, cancer survivor to cancer survivor, I see you and I feel you. Can I give you a hug?’ And she said, ‘Of course you can.’”
The “Price Tag” hitmaker told “GMA” that she was “grateful” the princess received her message “in the way it was meant.”
Jessie J revealed that she had been diagnosed with early breast cancer in June, while Middleton announced in March 2024 that she was undergoing treatment for an unspecified form of cancer.
The two were spotted embracing at the Royal Variety Performance in London on Nov. 19 after both going through extensive recoveries.
Jessie J has been sharing details of her health journey with fans online, calling herself an “open book” regarding her experience. She told “GMA” that cancer has given her “deep perspective” on life.
“When I got diagnosed with breast cancer, I wasn’t scared; I felt a little bit out of control,” she explained. “But I’m a sharer, and I wasn’t going to sit at home and cry about it … I’m really riding that wave and living in the moment and enjoying life.”
Of her initial discovery of the disease, the singer noted that advocating for herself was invaluable.
“I felt a lump and I said, ‘Oh, that doesn’t feel right.’ I went and got it looked at, got an ultrasound and they were like, ‘Everything looks fine,’” she said, noting that she just knew something was still wrong.
“I said, ‘But I got this achy arm, and I feel like I kept waking up [on] pins and needles.’”
“We need to talk about these things. I’ve been very lucky,” she added. “Super lucky to find it so early. It wasn’t invasive, thank God. I know there is a chance it could come back, but until then, we’re living life.”
Jessie J is mom to son Sky, 2, whom she welcomed in May 2023 after previously suffering a miscarriage.
She shares the little one with basketball player Chanan Colman, whom she has been dating since 2021.
