Travis Kelce had better knock on wood!

The 36-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end missed a clear fan reference to his fiancèe Taylor Swift’s infamous song “Wood” during the Wednesday, Jan. 21 episode of his New Heights podcast.

During the podcast, Travis’ older brother, Jason Kelce, was reading out a fan comment about their merchandise that confused him.

“ ‘I can’t believe none of the hoodies are called ‘New Heights of Man-Hoodie,’ ’ ” Jason read before adding, “I don’t know what the f— that means, but she’s disappointed.”

The father of four went on to ask, “What’s that mean? What’s a ‘man-hoodie’? Is that a thing?”

Producer Brandon Borders then chimed in, saying, “It’s a Life of a Showgirl reference, come on. ‘New Heights of manhood,’ it’s the time you were referenced in the album.”

After a pause, Travis admitted, “I didn’t understand that. Taylor’s gonna kill me for not knowing that!”

Jason then explained, saying, “We’re not as good with the Easter eggs as these Swifties,” and Travis added, “They sure know how to plant ‘em and call ‘em out.”

Swift’s song “Wood” was the most buzzed-about track on her twelfth studio album, packed with innuendo and raunchy references to Travis.

“Forgive me, it sounds cocky / He ah-matized me and opened my eyes,” she sings on the tune. “Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was the key that opened my thighs.”

As for the lyric that the fan referenced, Swift sings, “New Heights of manhood / I ain’t gotta knock on wood.”

This isn’t the first time the Kelce brothers have spoken about “Wood” on the podcast. After The Life of a Showgirl was released in Oct. 2025, Jason specifically asked Travis for his take on the track while on the podcast.

“Do you feel, do you feel — not confident — do you feel cocky about the song ‘Wood’?” Jason joked to his brother at the time.

“No,” Travis responded, adding, “Any song that she references me in is very…”

“That’s not just any song. This is a very specific you,” Jason cut in.

Maintaining his air of innocence, Travis replied, “I love that girl, so what do you mean? Any song that she would reference me in that way…”

But Jason wasn’t having it, interrupting his younger brother again, saying, “It’s not just you. It’s an appendage. It’s a very specific thing.”

“What?” Travis teased his brother. “I think you’re not understanding the song.”
