Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes were all decked out for the Chiefs win!
After helping the Kanas City Chiefs clinch the No. 1 seed in the AFC on Dec. 25, with a defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers 29-10, the tight end, 35, stormed the locker room alongside the team’s quarterback, 29, rocking sleek, shiny red jackets with white, fur trim.
Upon entering the locker room, Kelce jumped around, pumping his fist in the air and flapping the jacket back and forth. The moment was captured on video and later posted to the team’s social media accounts.
“HO HO HO(w) ‘bout those CHIEEEEEEEFS!!,” the team wrote on Instagram.
“Boy, you look good!” someone shouts at the two players as they pose for the camera. But just as Kelce and Mahomes do so, they are surprised by their head coach, Andy Reid, who enters the room dressed as Santa Claus, complete with a full outfit and beard.
“Hey, Merry Christmas,” Reid tells the team as they circle him. “Proud of you. For the present, you get home-field advantage.”
“Santa Reid giving the best gift of all,” the NFL captioned a video of the moment on X.

Before entering the locker room to celebrate, Kelce and Mahomes returned to the field to join senior NFL reporter Stacey Dales, who presented them with footballs made of cake on behalf of Netflix.
After struggling to open his football, Kelce cracked his open.
“Oh yeah, look at that,” the tight end says, holding up the cake, which was captured in a video and posted on X by the team. “A little red velvet.”
While Kelce proceeded to take a bite of the cake, his quarterback decided not to give it a taste.
“I’m watching my weight until playoffs, you know?” the quarterback says, laughing.
“More push-aways than pull-ins, that’s what Coach [Andy] Reid would say,” Kelce chimes in, as he continues to eat the cake.
The game also helped Kelce earn another spot in the NFL record books. He caught his 90th touchdown pass of the season. The 2024 season is his seventh with at least 90 TD receptions, the Chiefs said. Only wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald has more with eight seasons with at least 90 TD receptions.
The Chiefs will play one more game next week, against the Broncos in Denver, to close out the regular season. before the playoffs.
