There’s nothing sweeter than a Velcro dog (a.k.a. a pup who wants to spend every waking moment with you), and that perfectly describes my three-pound poodle, Honey. As adorable as it is, her constant need for attention isn’t great for my productivity.
Tennis balls and rope toys only hold her attention for a few minutes, so I finally tried the Qgi Interactive Dog Ball Toy, a self-playing ball that moves, shakes, and rolls to mimic a cat-and-mouse chase.
It instantly captured Honey’s attention so I could actually get work done. Best of all, it’s just $20 at Amazon today. Ahead, more self-playing dog toys that earned two paws up.

Qgi Interactive Dog Ball Toy

$23 $20 at Amazon
This is, hands-down, the best dog toy I’ve ever purchased at Amazon. The electric dog toy is made with chew-safe material for long-lasting play. It’s equipped with motion sensors, so if your pup happens to stroll by, it begins to vibrate, roll, and run. The toy switches between these functions to mimic a real-life hunt, and the rope attached to the ball only amplifies the fun of the chase. The charge is quick and long-lasting, and not only does Honey love this, but our cats play with it, too.
Bsisuerm Dog Puzzle Toy

$10 at Amazon
I also recently picked up this $10 puzzle toy for Honey. It’s basically a food dispenser attached to a ball — so when your pet nuzzles the device, a snack rolls out. I love that you can adjust the size of the feeder hole to make it easier or harder for the food to dispense. Not only does Honey get a dose of nutrition with her kibble, but the toy challenges her brain, too, for a blend of mental and physical stimulation.
Joansan Interactive Dog Puzzle Game

$9 $8 at Amazon
Another brain game, this puzzle is among Honey’s favorites to dig through while searching for treats. It has 14 hidden compartments for kibble or snacks, with sliding covers that encourage pets to use their noses to sniff out the rewards. It’s a fun way to add mental stimulation to mealtime, while also slowing down pups who tend to inhale their food in seconds.
“It works well as both a slow feeder and a boredom buster, especially on days when outdoor activity is limited,” one Amazon reviewer noted. “The toy feels sturdy and stays in place during use, even when both dogs are actively working through it.”
Whether your pup needs more mental stimulation, a slower way to enjoy mealtimes, or just something to keep them occupied, these interactive toys make it easy to add more enrichment to their day. From electric balls to treat-filled puzzles, find more self-playing dog toys at Amazon below.
