A British man pleaded guilty to killing his father and then attacking his mother and sibling.
Fabio Botros, 20, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and causing grievous bodily harm in connection with the April 2025 death of his father, Emad Samir Botros, according to the BBC. Fabio was 19 at the time of the crime.
The BBC reported that Fabio was obsessed with horror films and collected Chucky dolls from the Child's Play movie series, in which a doll kills people.
Brighton and Hove News reported that on the day of the incident, first responders found Emad suffering from serious wounds after neighbors reported hearing screaming.
Fabio was arrested and police found two knives and a hammer, per the paper. His mother and sibling were also found injured at the scene.
According to the BBC, prosecutors said Fabio had been arguing over baggage allowance for an upcoming trip when he struck his father over the head with the hammer.
Prosecutors further said the boy found wounded in the home was hit with the hammer, while Fabio's mother was stabbed.

"Botros then opened a drawer and took out a large kitchen knife before stabbing the woman in the face," prosecutors said, per the BBC. "The boy was also hit on the head with the hammer."
The BBC also reported that Fabio had been misdiagnosed with autism and depression and that his mental condition "deteriorated to the worst they had ever known."
Per the outlet, he was given an indefinite hospital order, following his guilty plea.
