Teddi Mellencamp revealed that she has multiple brain tumors.
On Wednesday, Feb. 12, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum, 43, posted a health update on Instagram, sharing that she is currently hospitalized and preparing to undergo surgery.
“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches,” she wrote. “Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization. After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”
“Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today. The remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” she continued. “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health.”

Mellencamp ended the post by thanking those who have reached out and supported her health journey. On her Instagram Stories, she also shared a video while getting her head shaved prior to surgery. “My best look,” she quipped.
In the comments section, the reality star received tons of well wishes from friends and fans as she begins treatment for the tumors, including messages from her fellow Housewives.
“Praying for your health my friend 💕” Real Housewives of Orange County star Emily Simpson wrote while Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kenya Moore said, “Praying for you 🙏🏾.”
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Rachel Fuda added, “Omg Teddi sending you so much love and keeping you in my prayers! 🫶🏻🤍”
Mellencamp’s brain tumor diagnosis comes a week after she used her melanoma journey to spread awareness on World Cancer Day.

On Feb. 4, she posted a graphic photo of her surgery scar on Instagram after spending years removing 17 different spots of melanoma. “It’s #WorldCancerDay so I’d like to remind you to get your skin checks scheduled,” she captioned the post.
Mellencamp also shared a clip from her recent appearance on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast, in which she opened up about her skin cancer diagnosis.
In the clip, Mellencamp explained that she’d had a “ginormous patch” on the back of her shoulder since she was born and then started getting marks on her back. They almost looked like sun spots … I didn’t take it seriously, plus I didn’t know that skin cancer was a big deal,” she said.
“Pretty much throughout the next three years, I think I’ve had over 20 surgeries,” the TV personality said.
Mellencamp has documented her cancer journey on social media, continuously urging her followers to stay on top of their health and routine screenings.
