Taylor Selfridge is opening up about her 3-year-old daughter Maya's recent hospitalization.
The Teen Mom alum, 31, shared a post on Instagram on Saturday, April 11, that featured photos of her daughter during her more than two-week-long stay in a Texas hospital.
"18 days in the hospital and we’re finally home," the reality TV alum wrote. "What started off as thinking it was a stomach bug turned into something so much bigger."
The post included photos showing Maya and her mom celebrating Easter, drinking a milkshake and playing some games inside a hospital room at Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.
"My baby is a fighter, the strongest little human ever," Selfridge wrote. "She’s still healing but we are finally back in California. It’s a lot to unpack and I will but for now just grateful I was able to bring my baby home. Thank you Cook Children’s Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Fort Worth, Texas, for saving my baby's life. And thank you god. 🙏🏻."

Maya, whom Selfridge shares with fellow Teen Mom alum Cory Wharton, was born in June 2022 with tricuspid atresia, a congenital heart defect. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the defect occurs when the tricuspid valve in the heart fails to form, necessitating surgery and other procedures.
Selfridge first revealed that Maya was in the hospital after fans voiced their concern about the TV star not posting on Snapchat as she usually does.
"16 days in the hospital…this is the longest stay/most stressful one we've ever had, and that's saying a lot," Selfridge wrote in her initial announcement about Maya's hospitalization. "She's getting much better hoping to get out of here soon 🤍. It's a long story and I'll give you guys an update when we get back home."
On April 10, Selfridge shared that her daughter was officially on her way home after being "life-flighted" to the hospital. She posted a few photos of Maya leaving the hospital, including her first stop at the Rainforest Cafe.

"We actually are not home yet. So this is part of the long story, but we are still in Texas," Selfridge explained in the caption. "We got life-flighted out of Amarillo so that’s part of the long story. So we fly back to California tomorrow. I’m not joking when I say it was insane."

Maya was previously hospitalized for 13 days for an open-heart procedure in October 2025.
"After 13 days in the hospital we are home!" Selfridge wrote on Instagram at the time. "Maya had her final open heart surgery called the Fontan 🫀 before the Fontan her blood was mixing oxygenated blood and non-oxygenated blood, which caused her to have low oxygen to her lungs."
Selfridge also shares daughter Mila Mae with Wharton, who is also dad to daughter Ryder, whom he welcomed with ex Cheyenne Floyd.
