Spotify has revealed its 2026 Songs of Summer — and the top track is from a beloved pop star.
According to a press release from the streaming platform, Ariana Grande’s hit “hate that i made you love me” became the most-streamed song of summer on Spotify. After debuting at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Chart on May 29, it earned 100 million monthly listeners as of August.
Spotify also shared the other four tracks that defined the season across the Northern Hemisphere, based on streaming data, cultural impact, and the team’s own editorial expertise.
Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” also made the list after reaching No. 1 in the U.S. and spending 98 days on Spotify’s Global Top 50.
According to Spotify, the track became one of the most-streamed songs in the U.K. this summer.

Meanwhile, Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration “Rein Me In” spent 75 days at No. 1 in the U.K. and Ireland, reaching No. 63 on Spotify’s Global Chart in August.
Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai” earned a spot on the list as the official song of 2026’s FIFA World Cup. The song spent 37 days at No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Chart and sat atop the charts in 17 countries, including Switzerland, Germany, and Portugal.
Per Spotify, the duo’s music video for it was the most-streamed of the season.
Finally, Caresha “Yung Miami” Brownlee of City Girls had a solo breakthrough moment with “Spend Dat,” which became one of the biggest hip-hop tracks of the season.

In 2025, Alex Warren’s hit “Ordinary” not only topped the charts, but also became the most-streamed song of the summer on the platform.
The other songs that made the list last year included MOLIY, Silent Addy, Skillibeng, and Shenseea’s “Shake It To The Max (FLY) – Remix,” Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild” and Sombr’s “Back to Friends.”
