Snoop Dogg wants to be on MasterChef.
After presenter Gregg Wallace’s departure from the U.K.’s version of the popular cooking show, the rapper, 53, suggested that he could be the next host — and that his friend, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, would support the move.
An avid culinary expert himself, Snoop Dogg said hosting MasterChef could be “the perfect opportunity.”
“You better believe Snoop could be the new MasterChef judge,” the rapper said. “My boy Gordon [Ramsay] judges on the U.S. version of the show, and I know he would back me to be able to judge on the U.K. version.”
He continued, “He knows I am not playing when it comes to food. He knows I can cook – I have even given him some tips. I hosted a cooking show over here [Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party] and I have always been vocal about wanting to work on a U.K. show.”
Snoop Dogg’s proposal comes shortly after Wallace — one of MasterChef‘s longtime co-hosts — left his position at the show.
Wallace’s departure came amid allegations of inappropriate sexual comments made by 13 people who worked with him between 2005 and 2022, according to BBC News.
In response to the allegations, Wallace, 60, posted on his Instagram Stories that his accusers were “a handful of middle-class women of a certain age,” which sparked intense controversy.
“Look, this is important to me,” he added. “20 years … do you know how many staff, all different sorts of staff, do you know how many staff complained about me in that time?” Wallace said. “Absolutely none. Zero. Seriously.”

Wallace’s former co-host John Torode — who remains on the BBC cooking show — has denounced Wallace and his actions. Wallace has since unfollowed Torode on social media.
“The thought of anyone who has appeared on our show not having a brilliant experience is awful to hear and I have found the recent press reports truly upsetting,” Torode, 59, wrote on Instagram earlier this month.
