Sharon Stone opened up about her personal life, including why she has been celibate for “quite a while.”
The Oscar-nominated actress, 68, detailed her reasoning while on Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown podcast on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
The pair discussed a wide range of topics throughout the interview, including Stone’s experience with “alien orbs,” her acting career, and the current state of her romantic life.
The Big Bang Theory alum, 50, asked Stone what she was like “as a girlfriend” while discussing their relationship patterns.
“I‘m a really good girlfriend, but I haven’t been a girlfriend in a long time,” Stone said. “And I’ve been a girlfriend to bad boyfriends, and I’ve been a girlfriend to good boyfriends.”
“I’ve had good luck and bad luck and no luck at all,” Stone said with a laugh. “For quite a long time I’ve had no luck at all. I’ve been celibate for quite a while now because I’m just at the point where I really only want to be with someone that I care for.”
She added that now that her kids have grown up, she is looking for “someone that’s my companion, not just someone to have sex with.”
“I’m kind of bored with that,” Stone said of casual relationships. “I’m in the no luck at all phase right now.”
Stone called it “the phase you need to be willing to be in to have the thing that I really want.”

“Have you had that? Have you had a great love of your life?” Bialik asked.

“I have had loves in my life, but I don’t think I’ve had the great love of my life,” Stone replied.
Stone was previously married to journalist Phil Bronstein from 1998 to 2004 and producer Michael Greenburg from 1984 to 1990. Stone adopted her eldest son, Roan, 26, in 2000, with Bronstein.
Following her 2004 split from Bronstein, Stone went on to adopt sons Laird, 21, in 2005, and son Quinn, 20, a year later in 2006.
