The head coach of the Seattle Seahawks got a text message from Tom Brady after his team won the 2026 Super Bowl, he revealed.
On Feb. 8, the NFL season came to a close after the Seahawks beat the New England Patriots with a final score of 29-13.
Reflecting on the experience nearly a month later, Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald revealed that he received "a couple hundred" texts after the win during a Wednesday, Feb. 25, appearance on The Rich Eisen Show.

One of those messages came from Brady, the retired NFL star who won six of his seven Super Bowl rings with the Patriots.
"Tom Brady texted me. That was cool," Macdonald said about the 48-year-old quarterback. "I did tell him, 'Hey, thanks for stealing our [offensive coordinator],' " via Patriots Wire.
While he didn't confirm exactly what Brady wrote, host Rich Eisen asked if the NFL legend's message read "Way to go." Macondald, 38, casually confirmed that was the gist of the text, simply saying, "Yeah."
As for the comment about "stealing" the Seahawks' offensive coordinator, the team's OC, Klint Kubiak, confirmed that he would be serving as head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders for the 2026 NFL season.
"You guys know I'm going to Las Vegas," he said during an interview with NFL Network on the night of the Super Bowl. He added that he was "fired up" about the opportunity, though he was focused on his final win with the Seahawks that evening.

"I'm incredibly humbled and excited to have been unanimously approved as an owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. Throughout my NFL career, I've learned that at its core, football is a game of teamwork, resilience, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. The Raiders franchise, and the city of Las Vegas embody these same values, and I'm honored to become part of the story," he announced in a statement shared on X at the time.
Despite his long connection to the Patriots, Brady's new ownership of the Raiders likely influenced his feelings going into the 2026 Super Bowl.
During an appearance on the Let's Go podcast ahead of the big game, he said that he didn't "have a dog in the fight in this one."
