Savannah Chrisley is not afraid to talk about how her romance with Robert Shiver began.
The Unlocked podcast host, 27, had Shiver on the Tuesday, Jan 7. edition of her podcast, and the two discussed all aspects of their relationship, which PEOPLE confirmed in September 2023.
While speaking about the early days of their romance, Shiver revealed that the Chrisley Knows Best alum made the first move.

“I was just on Instagram, and, all of a sudden this message came through. And, I looked at it, and it was from Savannah Chrisley. And I was like, that name sounds really familiar,” recalled Shiver. “So all the message said was like, ‘Hey, I’ll be praying for you’ or something like that.”
Chrisley said that at the time, Shiver had just gone “viral,” so she wanted to be “a kind person.”
Shiver made headlines in July 2023 after he survived an alleged murder plot allegedly orchestrated by his ex Lindsay Shiver, the mother of his three children, and her alleged boyfriend. Shiver is a former football player at Auburn University, and Lindsay was previously a cheerleader at the Alabama school.
Shiver had reportedly filed for divorce after he found out about his wife’s alleged affair. Lindsay and her alleged boyfriend were accused of plotting to kill Robert with an alleged hitman, per Bahamas Court News. The divorce has not been finalized.
While he replied to Chrisley’s message saying “Thanks,” the two slowly began planning a trip to meet up together, Shiver explained Tuesday. They would end up getting together in Boston when Chrisley took a trip to attend a Morgan Wallen concert.
After meeting at a hotel where Chrisley was with a group of friends, the podcast host said the two instantly hit it off and changed their plans for the next couple of days.
“And then we proceeded to go to the concert. But what was absolutely insane was we get in the car to go to the concert, and I don’t know why, but we get in the very back,” recalled Chrisley. “And, like, immediately, we were holding hands.”
“Immediately. And then we go to the concert. We were afraid of photos coming out,” she continued. “So we were not — we kept our social distancing until we didn’t.”
