Bryce Dallas Howard is her dad Ron Howard’s biggest fan.
The actress, 45, praised her famous father while speaking with PEOPLE at the opening night of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles on Saturday, Sept. 19.
“I trust his advice. His advice comes from such a true place,” she says. “There’s no agenda. He’s such a deeply good person, and he cares so much.”

Bryce added that the Apollo 13 filmmaker, 72, is “such a great father.”
“I’ve never felt manipulated. I’ve never felt controlled,” she says. “So anything that comes from my dad feels very clean, which is often not the case for parents and children.”
The Jurassic World Dominion star also revealed which of her parents she wants to emulate for her two kids.
“Honestly, my mom. She did a really good job. She’s a bit stricter,” she says, referring to her mother, Cheryl Howard.

The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, founded by George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
The 300,000-square-foot museum has more than 100,000 square feet of gallery space across 30 galleries.
Several stars attended the opening night along with Bryce and Ron, including Spike Lee, Kim Kardashian, Katy Perry, Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro.

Last October, Bryce spoke about how her dad supports her.
“Oftentimes I’m trying to solicit advice from him, and he’s like, ‘Oh no, it will be easy. You’ll figure it out. Don’t let me mess up your perspective on this. It’s just best if you go into this and kind of discover it on your own,’ ” she said at L.A. Comic Con.
The Skeleton Crew director also recalled growing up on her dad’s movie sets.
“I was so lucky, and that’s not the case for every kid growing up in the business,” she said. “Because my dad was the director, he was in a position where he was allowed to have his kids on set. And because he grew up as a child actor, he was thinking, ‘It’s normalized for your kids to be on set.’ ”
