Frank Catania is married!
During his appearance on the latest episode of the On Display with Melissa Gorga podcast published on Thursday, March 6, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star revealed that he secretly married fiancée Brittany Mattessich “back in November” 2024, and they’re planning on having a second wedding later this year.
“We are married, but we’re married off the chart,” Frank said, noting that they will tie the knot again in New Jersey but “don’t have a date” for their second celebration yet because they have “so much going on.”
“We don’t have it. We don’t have a date, but we’re doing it up here. We’re not doing a destination wedding. We had enough of the weather. Mother Nature just didn’t—” he continued, referring to how he and Mattessich had to cancel their dream wedding due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The couple — who got engaged in October 2023 after more than a decade of friendship which later turned romantic — were set to hold their nuptials on Florida’s Captiva Island on Nov. 9, 2024, but the storm damage to their venue was too extensive. Back in October 2024, Frank told PEOPLE that after assessing the situation at their venue and the surrounding area, they made the difficult decision to postpone their nuptials until March 2025.
“Hurricane Helene first came through and brought so much sand onto the island that the pools were filled with sand and the golf course and areas where the ceremony and the reception were to be held were also damaged by water,” he explained. “Even though there was a possibility that the venue could have possibly been repaired for our wedding on Nov. 9, no work commenced because Hurricane Milton was coming the following week.”
At the time, the pair decided that it “was better off for us to reschedule for March 29, 2025, which gives the resort ample time to repair the resort back to perfect condition.” Now, they’re choosing a different venue closer to home to be on the safe side.
“We’re going to have it up here now,” Frank continued on the podcast. “I can’t put Brittany through it again.”
Host and RHONJ alum Melissa Gorga was shocked by his marriage revelation, and even more surprised by who officiated the secret first wedding.
“You know who married us? David,” Frank said.
Frank was presumably referring to his ex-wife Dolores Catania’s ex-boyfriend David Principe, whom he lived with at one point. Frank and Dolores were married from 1994 to 1998.

Melissa was stunned that her husband, Joe Gorga, knew Frank was married the entire time.
“Joe, you knew this and didn’t tell me?” Melissa questioned, to which Frank responded, “Because Joe was a good friend. I told him, ‘Keep it quiet. Keep it quiet.'”
Frank added that he “wouldn’t be surprised” if Dolores also tied the knot this year, and sees an engagement ring “coming.” She began dating Paul “Paulie” Connell in 2021.
“Honestly, yes,” he said. “If it’s gonna happen, I would think it’s gonna happen within 2025.”

Meanwhile, his son, Frankie Catania, likely won’t get married until 2026, as he just got engaged last month.
“I think Frankie’s gonna be next year,” Frank said.
Frankie popped the question to Nicole Perricho on Saturday, Feb. 22, inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City. The couple celebrated with family and friends after.
“I couldn’t have asked for a better future daughter-in-law,” Frank gushed. “She’s awesome.”
