Rachel Zoe is going deeper into her divorce.
On the Thursday, Feb. 26, episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the fashion mogul, 54, reflected on one year since her split from ex-husband Rodger Berman in August 2024.
"Whatever happened, happened and then I just split open," Zoe told castmates Kyle Richards and Dorit Kemsley at dinner in the Hamptons. "I just remember literally being on the ground."
Zoe said she and Berman had gotten into "a big fight" that made her say she was "done." When the women asked Zoe how she found out what Berman, 57, had done that upset her so much, she replied, "Well, he told me."
Zoe said she had just gotten home from designer Brian Atwood's birthday when she got "a call" from Berman, who was in Aspen at the time.
"Honestly, it’s like I saw red and just hung up," she said in a confessional. "People have always asked me over the years what’s the secret to our success. The first answer was always trust. It’s like, when that trust is broken, it’s broken. There’s no going back."
"The way that we were married, I never looked at his phone, not once. Never in my life — not even thought about, talked about, considered," she continued at dinner with the women.

Zoe said people have also asked her whether Berman told her "because he wanted to hurt" her.
"You don't think he told you because he felt guilty?" Kemsley asked, to which Zoe replied, "Yes, because he's never lied to me a day in his life, so I think it’s partly that. I think it’s also, like, ‘I want to see if you still give a s—. I want to see if you care even this much.' My reaction is: ‘I can’t come back. I can’t un-hear, I can’t unsee, I can’t un-know.'"
Zoe claimed that Berman "was a secure person" until the last six to seven years of their marriage. "Then it just went down," she said.

In their early relationship in the '90s, as Zoe built her career as a stylist, she said Berman "never held me back. Never."
"He was like, ‘Go. Do. Be,' " she said. "He was so secure. Everyone would ask him, ‘How do you let her do that? She’s going and styling all these huge male celebrities, these big male supermodels, these guys are hitting on her all the time.’ He was always like, ‘If they can get her, they can have her.’ It worked because I never cheated on him."
Zoe admitted she "would flirt with guys," and "they would flirt with me," but it "was nothing." She said about four years into their relationship, she "fooled around with this model," who "was the most beautiful thing I'd ever seen in my life," and told Berman because she "felt so bad.
"I told him that I fooled around with this guy, and I’m not joking, he proposed to me the next day," she said. "True story."
Zoe and Berman — who share sons Skyler, 14, and Kaius, 12 — announced their separation in September 2024. Four months later, Berman was photographed with his girlfriend Bree Jacoby for the first time. (Zoe previously addressed the cheating rumors surrounding Berman in an interview with PEOPLE in November, saying, "the timeline's the timeline.")
Zoe filed for divorce in July 2025.
"There is nothing about the person that is that resembles the person that was, and, look, people are allowed to change," Zoe said. "He made it very clear he was very happy in who he had become."
"I have to say thank you that it happened," she said. "Whatever happened, I have to thank you because otherwise I’d spend another six years being loyal waiting for someone that I once knew to come back."
