Even royals shop vintage.
On Nov. 6, Prince William, 42, arrived on the green carpet at the Earthshot Prize Awards in Cape Town, South Africa, in an eco-friendly look, keeping in theme with the event.
He donned a pre-loved blazer — featuring a glen plaid pattern, also known as Prince of Wales check, of course — reportedly sourced from a vintage store in London.
The Prince of Wales teamed the piece with sustainable sneakers from Purified Shoes, a finalist for the yearly award, which have zero plastic and are biodegradable.
He also wore a light blue button-down shirt and navy trousers to complete the look.
Celebrating its fourth year, the Earthshot Prize Awards brought out other celebrities, including Heidi Klum, Winnie Harlow, Robert Irwin, Billy Porter and more.
At the event, the royal has also been keeping his three children close, though the prince attended solo, without wife Kate Middleton or their kids.
Earlier this week, Prince William was pictured sporting a beaded bracelet reading “Papa,” which was made by his nine-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte for the family’s outing to a Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert in June.
“Well, this is a relic, if you like, from a Taylor Swift concert that my daughter decided that she wanted to create a bracelet for,” Prince William said when asked about the accessory yesterday. “She gave it to me when I came away. So I promised that I’d wear it and try not to lose while I was out here.”
Though Middleton wasn’t at this year’s Earthshot Prize Awards, she has previously worn her best sustainable looks on the green carpet.
In 2022, she chose a bright neon green Solace London dress, which she rented from British fashion brand Hurr, and Princess Diana’s emerald choker necklace.
The Princess of Wales hasn’t fully returned to her royal duties since revealing she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
