Prince William and Prince Harry are both out in the U.K., although their paths won’t cross.
On Jan. 22, the Prince of Wales, 43, conducted engagements in Bristol to spotlight the city’s achievements in sustainability and its role as a driving force for British innovation.
About 120 miles away, his brother returned to the Royal Courts of Justice in London to support Elizabeth Hurley as she gave evidence against Associated Newspapers Limited. Prince Harry, 41, and Hurley, 60, are among seven high-profile claimants accusing the powerhouse publisher of unlawful information gathering, and he gave an emotional testimony yesterday on Jan. 21.

Meanwhile, Prince William was in Bristol. The Prince of Wales made three stops — visiting sustainable tech pioneer and 2025 Earthshot Prize finalist Matter, checking out the U.K.’s most powerful supercomputer at the University of Bristol’s renowned NCC center and visiting the Bristol Robotics Laboratory, an internationally recognized human-centred robotics hub.
There, William tried a ride on a lightweight mobility scooter — which may have been a treat, as his go-to electric scooter is banned on the grounds of his new Forest Lodge home in Windsor.

The estranged siblings are not expected to see one another during Prince Harry’s current trip to the U.K. The rift between them became public after Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal roles in 2020 and moved to California.
It’s also unlikely that Prince Harry will see King Charles during his visit, though the father and son met up for the first time in 18 months when Harry last visited England in September 2025. The royal reunion was a landmark as they have been estranged in recent years. Those close to Harry previously told PEOPLE that the King, 77, had not been taking his son’s calls and messages had been left unanswered.
The sovereign was in Scotland for a royal reception in Edinburgh when Harry arrived at court for the start of the nine-week trial on Jan. 19, but was in London on Jan. 21 in London for an audience with the President of Indonesia. Prince William and Kate Middleton were also in Scotland on Monday, with the away day in Stirling and Falkirk taking them 400 miles away from London as Harry appeared in court.

PEOPLE was inside the courtroom when the Duke of Sussex took the stand on Wednesday, answering questions about his complaint against the publisher of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday.
The legal battle is the last in a series of lawsuits that Prince Harry has lodged against British publications in recent years, and he named Prince William, King Charles and Princess Kate in his witness statement.
Harry listed his brother, father and sister-in-law in his legal argument detailing the circle of people he said he was in “regular contact” with during the period covered by his claim, running from about 1996 to at least 2014.
The Duke of Sussex alleged that private details appearing in press coverage could only have come from unlawfully obtained information shared within trusted relationships. Associated Newspapers has strenuously denied the allegations.
