Piper Perabo Still Keeps in Touch With “Coyote Ugly ”Castmates, More Than 25 Years Later (Exclusive)

Twenty-five years after it premiered, Coyote Ugly has bonded some of its stars for life.

Piper Perabo tells PEOPLE that all these years later, she still keeps in touch with her cast mates from the film — including Bridget Moynihan, who played bartender Rachel.

Perabo, now 49, was 23 when she starred Violet Sanford — an aspiring songwriter who moves to New York to pursue her dreams while working as a bartender at Coyote Ugly — in the 2000 movie.

"I just saw Bridget Moynahan who's in the movie," Perabo told PEOPLE in a recent interview tied to her partnership with skincare company Bliss. "I saw her the other week. There was a big art fair here in LA, and she and I went and looked at paintings together. It's not exactly what we were doing in the Coyote Ugly days, but…"

Perabo — currently the face of the Bliss Fab Girl Firm Body Firming & Contouring Cream — continued: "She's here filming. And so, I was like, 'Do you want to go look at paintings?' And she's like, 'Yeah.' "

Perabo notes that some of her more recent roles —like vegan activist Summer Higgins on Yellowstone — have some "weird crossover" with Coyote Ugly.

"Weirdly, the whole Yellowstone thing and the whole Western aesthetic… it feels like that '90s Western aesthetic is really popular right now. And Coyote was doing that then. So there's this weird crossover between those two worlds."

Perabo said in 2025, while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at San Diego Comic-Con, that "things are moving around" when asked about a sequel to Coyote Ugly.

"There’s a lot of cooks in the kitchen right now, but things are moving around," she said, adding that "some people" who initially didn't think a sequel was something audiences "need" have also had a change of heart, explaining, "They’re like, ‘Oh, well I wanna be in it.' "

The Bliss Fab Girl Firm Body Firming & Contouring Cream will launch exclusively on Amazon on March 25, before expanding to BlissWorld.com on April 1, 2026.
