Can you believe Rupert Grint is 38? See his best photos, from his young ‘Harry Potter’ years to today, here.
Rupert Grint, born August 24, 1988, cast his spell on ‘Harry Potter’ fans around the world when he landed the role of Ron Weasley in 2001 at just 11 years old. He played Harry’s right-hand man in eight films, wrapping the series with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 in 2011.
Since portraying Ron, he’s leaned into darker fare. He starred in the crime series Snatch in 2017, then played Julian Pearce across four seasons of the horror series Servant, which ran from 2019 until 2023. He took a chilling turn in M. Night Shyamalan‘s 2023 film Knock at the Cabin, returned to the screen in the 2026 horror film Nightborn, and is set to play Bob Cratchit opposite Johnny Depp‘s Scrooge in the upcoming Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol.
Besides acting, Rupert was the first of the original trio to become a parent. He and girlfriend Georgia Groome welcomed a daughter, Wednesday, in May 2020, and in April 2025 the couple announced they’d welcomed a second daughter, Goldie.
