When John Mulaney entered rehab for a 60-day stay in December 2020, Olivia Munn publicly showed her support by sending him well wishes on social media. In May 2021, John confirmed that he and his wife of nearly seven years, Anna Marie Tendler, had separated months earlier, with their divorce later finalized that same year. Shortly after, rumors began circulating that he was dating Olivia, and the two were first photographed together on June 26, 2021.

The couple revealed they were expecting their first child in September 2021 and welcomed their son, Malcolm, in November of that year. In 2023, Olivia was diagnosed with breast cancer despite having no symptoms and underwent multiple surgeries, including a double mastectomy. She later opened up about facing the “possibility of death” during her health battle, with John supporting her throughout her treatment.

In July 2024, the couple quietly tied the knot during an intimate ceremony in New York. Later that year, they welcomed their second child, daughter Méi June, via surrogate on September 14, 2024.
