Raekwon, meanwhile, posted a group photo and wrote, “POWER we been everywhere …. now you everywhere !😢🙏🏾 the most high is merciful love you.”
"We couldn’t have done it without him. Wu wouldn’t have come to fruition without Power. His passing is a profound loss to us all. My deepest condolences to the fam," wrote Gza.
Media outlet Okay Player remembered Grant as “a driving force behind one of hip-hop’s most influential movements.”
“His belief in creative control and community empowerment helped shape not only a group, but a dynasty that changed music forever,” the outlet captioned an Instagram post. “His impact will live on through the culture he helped elevate and the countless lives he inspired.”
Grant produced several Wu-Tang Clan projects and was the creator of the Wu Wear clothing line.
He told Complex in 2011, “Well, you know, at the end of the day, we are all interested in fashion. Initially, when we started doing the music, my interests just came from trying to figure out a way to diversify what we was doing, based on the fact that you know, I wasn't a rapper or a producer or anything like that.”
When asked about the Wu Tang Clan’s involvement in the design, Grant said, “That was all me. I had a crew of people who worked with me and helped me achieve and do the things that I wanted to do. But that was all my direction, based on how I saw it.”

“At the end of the day, it was just something I made for us, for them to project to the people. They never really actively took a part in it like that, although they were influential in the styling of what it was, just from being who they are and me knowing them as my friends, and now, my business partners,” he shared.
The Wu-Tang Clan was named one of the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominees on Wednesday, Feb. 25.
