Nicolas Cage has had one of the most varied careers in Hollywood, blending award-winning dramatic work with big-budget action films and offbeat roles that have made him a distinctive presence on screen. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Leaving Las Vegas and has starred in well-known films such as Face/Off, National Treasure, Adaptation, Moonstruck and Con Air. Born Nicolas Kim Coppola in Long Beach, California, Cage is part of the famed Coppola family but changed his name early in his career to forge his own path.

In his personal life, Cage has been married five times. His first wife was Patricia Arquette, whom he married in 1995. He then wed Lisa Marie Presley in 2002, though that marriage ended after just a few months. His third marriage was to Alice Kim in 2004. Cage briefly married Erika Koike in 2019, and in February 2021 he married Riko Shibata, with whom he welcomed a daughter, August Francesca Coppola Cage, in September 2022. Cage is also a father to two other children from previous relationships: his eldest son, Weston Coppola Cage, whom he shares with actress Christina Fulton, and his son Kal-El Coppola Cage with Alice Kim.
