Nick Viall and Natalie Joy are expanding their family!
The former Bachelor star, 45, and his wife, 27, announced in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Feb. 4, that they’re expecting twins. The couple’s happy news comes after a tough year for Joy, who publicly shared she experienced three miscarriages in 2025.
“Our rainbow babies are finally ready to join us and this time it’s TWINS 🌈🌈,” Joy and Viall wrote in their joint caption. In the sweet photos, Joy could be seen wearing a silk shirt that was unbuttoned to showcase her growing belly.
She held up a series of sonogram images, standing next to Viall, who held the other side. He also had their 2-year-old daughter, River, on his hip, who wore a cream sweater that read “Big Sister.”

This past August, Viall shared that his wife Joy had experienced her third miscarriage in a year on an episode of their podcast The Viall Files. A week later, the mom and content creator posted a statement on her Instagram Stories as she thanked her community for their support.
“Hi friends ❤️ Wanted to thank everyone for the love and support after sharing that we experienced our 3rd miscarriage,” Joy wrote in her statement. “I took this last week to recover physically from my second D&C, lean on my people and nonstop squeezing my miracle rivvy girl.”
A D&C refers to the term dilation and curettage, which according to the Mayo Clinic is “a procedure to remove tissue from inside your uterus. Health care professionals perform [d&c] to diagnose and treat certain uterine conditions — such as heavy bleeding — or to clear the uterine lining after a miscarriage or abortion.”
“I’m working very closely with my doctors that I love and trust and eager to find out what’s going on so we don’t experience this heartbreak for a 4th time. love yall ❤️.”

In March, Joy posted a picture of herself on Instagram Stories after she experienced her second miscarriage.
“Spent yesterday away from my phone but overwhelmed by the love i woke up to ❤️,” she wrote over a full-body mirror selfie of herself. “Thanks for hanging on with us, we’ll get our rainbow baby one day im sure of it.”
Joy shared that she “miscarried again” in a candid Instagram Stories post on March 23. She previously miscarried in January.
“While mourning the loss of our second baby at the beginning of this year, I quickly and very unexpectedly found out I was pregnant again,” Joy began. “It took some time for me to accept what had happened, only to be handed another chance so easily and so fast. But eventually, I found so much happiness. We were finally in a place of complete and utter gratitude.”
However, she continued, “This past week, I miscarried again.”
Describing the experience as “harder than I imagined,” Joy continued, “It’s going to take some time for me to feel like myself again, and honestly, I may never will, but I hope to keep y’all involved in whatever that may look like.”
