A couple couldn’t believe their eyes when they finally saw their wedding photos.
Tracie Bobo, 55, and, Dwight Bobo, 57, said “I do” in an intimate wedding attended by 30 of their closest friends and family members at Fairdale Baptist Church in Hemphill, Texas, on Nov. 1, 2025. Ahead of the celebration, one of the groom’s family friends offered to take the wedding photos “completely free” as “a kind gesture.”
Tracie and Dwight’s daughter, Kaleigh Richard, 31, tells PEOPLE that because the woman is “very nice” and the photos were “complimentary,” her parents “didn’t expect anything extravagant — just some simple memories of the day.” However, they were in disbelief when they received the photos about one month after the ceremony.
“While we understood the photos were free and taken by a non-professional, we were not expecting such major issues — including some photos where legs were entirely missing,” Richard says.
As seen in two posts recently shared by Richard on TikTok, the photos were underwhelming and poorly composed, with many being blurry or entirely out of focus. In some shots, the newlyweds and their children’s bodies were photoshopped onto a floral wedding room backdrop.
Despite the outcome not being what they expected, everyone made light of the wedding photo mishap.
“My mom was a good sport about it and honestly just laughed it off,” Richard says, adding, “I was shocked at first, but the situation quickly became something we could laugh about as well.”
Richard explains that she shared the photos on social media without any malicious intent.
“I shared the video simply because the situation was so unexpected and honestly funny in a ‘You can’t make this up!’ way,” she says. “More of a lighthearted moment that others could laugh along with.”

To Richard’s knowledge, the woman who took the wedding photos has not seen her posts.
Tracie and Dwight chose not to address the photo issues with the woman.
“Since the photos were free and the issues were so obvious, we felt the photographer likely already knew the quality wasn’t great,” Richard says.
