My Favorite Reebok Sneakers Took My Wide, Flat Feet Through 4 Countries Without Foot Pain — They’re on Sale Today

I’ve been taking trips for more than 20 years, and through trial and error have learned some travel essentials can’t go unpacked. One of which being a pair of comfortable sneakers that are stylish and, most importantly, arch-supportive. 

During a study abroad trip in college, I wore the Reebok Club C 85 Sneakers on repeat across four countries. After breaking them in, my wide, flat feet remained pain-free and felt swaddled in comfort the entire time. It took a couple of days to break in these sneakers, but afterwards the shoes seemed to get comfier with each wear. I appreciated the lightweight feel, which made long days of exploring cities like London, Berlin, Rome, and Barcelona easier. The traction also allowed me to walk on pavement, cobblestone, and dirt roads confidently. 

If a shoe is too narrow it can pinch my bunions making a trip outside painful, but these have a wider toe box that lets my feet spread. Since they’ve got a leather upper, they also stretched slightly the more I wore them giving it a nice cushy feel.  

I chose the white-on-white color because it’s capsule-wardrobe friendly and goes with basically any outfit like a pair of jeans and a T-shirt for casual lunch dates or a midi dress for a more polished look. Another notable feature is the pin holes over the toes that make the sneaker breathable (a.k.a. no sweaty feet).

By the end of the trip, my Reebok sneakers were not the pure white I unboxed, but the leather material was easy to clean. Dirt and stains easily lifted once I took a Magic Eraser to them, turning them back into a clean(er) white I wasn’t embarrassed to wear outside.
