A man has been arrested on multiple counts after he was allegedly found hiding in a teen girl’s closet at 4:30 a.m. in Utah.
Victor Ivan Ernesto Gamez Tesucun, 30, was arrested on eight counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a 16-year-old, one count of assault and one count of tampering with evidence, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. The Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane, Utah, confirmed to PEOPLE that he is on an immigration hold.
He was arrested after a woman located a man, who police later identified as Tesucun, in her 16-year-old daughter’s bedroom closet. The mother reported he was not wearing a shirt and “pushed her into a wall when confronted, and he fled the residence through a window," according to the probable cause affidavit.
The affidavit alleges that the teenage girl told authorities that she had sexual intercourse with the man, and that Tesucun later told authorities during an interview that “he knowingly had sexual intercourse with the 16-year-old female 8 times over the past 5 months.”
Police further allege that Tesucun “admitted that he intentionally deleted the messages” sent between him and the girl, because he was “afraid they would be seen," and that he “encouraged” her to do the same.
