While a baby's first words always come as a surprise, parents usually assume their little one will start with the basics, such as "mama" or "dada."
That wasn't the case for Ylana Hersh's now-8-month-old daughter, however.
“The morning after the Super Bowl halftime show, I was playing Bad Bunny’s music in the kitchen," Hersh tells PEOPLE. "I asked Alexa to play Bad Bunny, and out of nowhere, my daughter blurted out ‘Bad Bunny.’ "

"It completely caught me off guard, and we looked at each other like, 'Did that really just happen?'" she adds. "It was one of those surreal, hilarious parenting moments you don’t expect."
Hersh was able to capture the moment on camera and later posted the clip to TikTok, but never expected more than just a few friends to see it. The video went viral, amassing over 8.1 million views. The reaction to her video, she shares, has been “hilarious.”
“People have fully run with it. The comments are chaotic in the best way, and the memes keep getting funnier,” Hersh says. “We’re enjoying the ride and laughing along with everyone else. It’s amazing how one spontaneous baby moment turned into something so many people connected with.”
The proud mom tells PEOPLE that her daughter has added a few more words to her vocabulary in the month since the "Me porto bonito" singer took the stage during halftime of Super Bowl LX.
“She’s been experimenting with new sounds and a couple of early words, like ‘dada,' ‘mama’ and ‘no’ but nothing quite as surprising or bold as ‘Bad Bunny,'" Hersh says, noting that “that one is going to be tough to top!”
Hersh shares that it was “such a ridiculous and joyful moment that I wanted to share the laugh.”

According to Hersh, her daughter is the “definition” of a second child.
“She’s super chill, easygoing, and happy to just take everything in. She has this calm, content personality, but every now and then she’ll surprise us with a burst of expression, like saying ‘Bad Bunny,’ apparently!”
