Meghan Markle opted for initials when choosing the URL for her new fashion website, but they might not be what you expected.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, revealed on March 24 that she started a ShopMy page, linking to some of her favorite style finds. While her name is listed as “Meghan, Duchess of Sussex” on the site, the URL is simply “shopmy.us/ms,” seemingly a shorthand for “Meghan Sussex.” (The URL shopmy.us/meghan was already taken, although it doesn’t seem to be active.)
Queen Elizabeth gave Prince Harry and Meghan the titles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their wedding day in 2018. Their children, 5-year-old son Prince Archie and 3-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet, use “Sussex” as their last name.
Meghan recently shared in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE what it means to have a “family” name.

“It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children,” she said. “I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”
Describing the Sussex name as “part of our love story,” she adds, “I think as the kids get older, they’re so excited about, ‘Oh my gosh, Mama and Papa, how did you meet?’ I think that will come with time as they get older, but for right now a huge part of our love story is that we share the name Sussex.”
The name also came up in the second episode of With Love, Meghan on Netflix, when Meghan corrected her friend Mindy Kaling. Talking about what they ate growing up,The Office star said, “People wouldn’t believe that Meghan Markle ate at Jack in the Box.”
Meghan replied, “It’s so funny, too, that you keep saying Meghan Markle. You know I’m Sussex now.”
“You have kids and you go, ‘No, I share my name with my children,’ ” she added. “I didn’t know how meaningful that would be to me, but it just means so much to go, this is our family name, our little family name.”
