The Brady Bunch, which ran from 1969 to 1974, followed a cheerful blended family navigating everyday life together in Los Angeles. In addition to portraying a family on-screen, several of the actors behind the iconic roles created families of their own.

Nearly every actor who played a member of the Brady family eventually became a parent in real life. Notably, Florence Henderson was already a mom of four when she landed the role of Carol Brady, while Robert Reed was a father to one daughter, who once appeared on the sitcom.

Other stars like Maureen McCormick and Barry Williams started their families years after The Brady Bunch ended. Today, the alums share glimpses of their kids on social media and reflect on parenthood in interviews.

Here’s everything to know about the kids of the Brady Bunch cast.

Henderson, who portrayed the matriarch, Carol Brady, on the show, shared four children — Elizabeth, Joseph, Robert and Barbara Bernstein — with her first husband, theatrical producer Ira Bernstein.

In July 2015, the actress reflected on motherhood in an interview with NPR. “Sometimes my kids would say to me, ‘How come you don't scream at those kids on television like you do us?’ ” Henderson recalled.

She would respond, “Because they’re not my real kids and you are, and I want you to turn out to be wonderful human beings.’ And they have. I have four of the most incredible children.”

Henderson’s daughter, Barbara, appeared in a few Brady Bunch episodes, including, “The Slumber Capper,” “Everyone Can’t Be George Washington” and “The Hair-Brained Scheme.”

She went on to become the senior director for event production at the Television Academy, and later, the executive producer of special events, per her bio.

“There was always singing, dancing and laughing in our house,” Elizabeth told the Television Academy website, adding that she often parodied ads with her mom.

Reed starred as Mike Brady, the patriarch of the Brady family. He was married to Marilyn Rosenberg from 1954 to 1959, and they welcomed their daughter, Karen, on Oct. 1, 1956.

She appeared in the October 1970 Brady Bunch episode, “The Slumber Caper.”

In January 2026, Karen’s brother, John Bergquist, confirmed to the Chicago Tribune that she’d died two months earlier on Nov. 29, 2025.

He said she was not “particularly close” with her father, though they were on good terms before his death in 1992.

According to her obituary, she also had a “deep and enduring love for horses” and was a competitor as well as a trainer in the horse-jumping circuit. Her son, William Baldwin, was her “greatest joy in life.”

On The Brady Bunch, McCormick played the eldest daughter and popular teen, Marcia Brady. In real life, she married Michael Cummings in 1985, and they welcomed their daughter, Natalie, in 1989.

In May 2021, McCormick shared a throwback photo of her and her daughter on Instagram, writing, “To my dear sweet Daughter, I love you with all of my heart! You are my sunshine, my heart and soul. What a blessing to be your mother💕💓🌷☀️.”

Williams portrayed the heartthrob eldest son, Greg Brady. Off-camera, he has two children from different relationships.

The Brady Bunch alum married Eila Mary Matt in 1999, and they welcomed their son, Brandon, in 2003. (The pair filed for divorce in 2005.) Williams later welcomed a daughter, Samantha, in 2012 with then-girlfriend Elizabeth Kennedy.

In a November 2025 episode of The Brady Bros podcast, which he co-hosts with Knight, Williams spoke about his kids’ relationship with the show. “I have never watched a Brady Bunch episode with either one of them,” he revealed. “I never introduced them to the series.”

Williams clarified that there was no rule against watching it, and that others would put the show on sometimes. “I thought that was kind of a nice introduction,” he said. “It’s not easy for kids to grow up with someone who’s recognizable or been on TV a lot.”

He added that while people sometimes make assumptions about children of celebrities, Brandon is “pretty well adjusted” and can brush it off or joke back.

On social media, Williams and Samantha can often be spotted taking part in trends.

Mike Looklinland starred as the fun-loving youngest son, Bobby Brady. He married his high school sweetheart, Kelly Wermuth, in 1987, and the couple share two sons. They welcomed Scott on July 6, 1990, and Joe on Aug. 6, 1993.

Scott portrayed his father in the 2000 TV movie Growing Up Brady, which Williams called “way cool,” per the Deseret News.

“His son is the spitting image of Mike,” he told the outlet. “They sound the same and the energy is the same — kind of the little giggle and all that. And there’s something poetic about it … Here we are, the original set’s been totally re-created, and Scott Lookinland is playing his dad.”

Like his father, Scott is a fan of The Grateful Dead and has performed covers of the band’s songs with The Grateful Dead tribute band The Pranksters, according to the Daily Herald.

On the sitcom, Susan Olsen played the youngest sibling, Cindy Brady. In 1995, she married Mitch Markwell, and they welcomed their son, Michael, in 1997. The pair separated in 2004.

When Olsen became a mother, she tried to model her parenting after her TV parents, Carol and Mike.

“This show that had been very uncool when it first ended, and I was still trying to be an actress, and I had this show following me around,” she told PEOPLE in September 2025.

Olsen continued, “Now, to me, it's almost like a gentle guidebook for how to have a happy family. It's simple, but that's why it's been so successful. The simple messages ring true, because they are true.”

Speaking on the Today show, she described Michael as her “universe,” adding that he plays bass in a “wonderful” band, Zyrolifia, per E! News.
