Mariah Carey has had to cancel two more of her holiday shows after coming down with the flu.
On Friday, Dec. 13, the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer, 55, told fans she still wasn’t well, so wouldn’t be taking the stage as planned at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center and Belmont Park, New York’s UBS Arena for her Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time shows.
“Newark and Belmont — I wish I had better news but unfortunately I’m still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight [Dec. 13] and on Sunday,” the musician posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“I’m really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC, 💔” she added.
Carey now has just one show left of the tour at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Tuesday, Dec. 17. She hasn’t commented on whether that will be canceled as of yet.
The post came two days after Carey canceled her Pittsburgh concert hours before she was scheduled to perform at the city’s PPG Paints Arena.
“Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much,” she wrote on X on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Carey hasn’t mentioned whether she’ll reschedule the concerts. It’s a busy time of the year for the musician, who is known as the Queen of Christmas.
Her hit holiday tune, “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” returned to the top of Billboard’s Hot 100 chart this week, and she received a special surprise to celebrate the honor.
Carey’s twins Monroe and Moroccan, 13, whom she shares with ex-husband Nick Cannon, surprised their mom with flowers while she was on stage at her Raleigh, North Carolina, show on Monday, Dec. 9.
Monroe and Moroccan appeared in front of the crowd of concertgoers after a man came on stage and said in a clip shared on Instagram, “I don’t mean to interrupt you, but I just want to let y’all know we’re going to give her flowers tonight because we just found out ‘All I Want for Christmas’ is number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Make some noise for the Queen of Christmas.”
Carey told her fans, “Thank you. Wow! That was the perfect moment to find that out. It’s from the Hot 100? Well, thank you, everybody who helped make that possible. Thank you so much.”

The celebrations came as she marked the 30th anniversary of Merry Christmas, the album “All I Want for Christmas Is You” is featured on, by releasing a special deluxe edition.
She told PEOPLE in April of heading back on the road for her annual Christmas tour, “I’ve been working day and night on this one. I worked with some incredible people on this, like Miss Debbie Allen,” referencing the Fame icon, 74, who served as creative director and choreographer.
“I’ll be doing songs I’ve never done before, some duets,” Carey added at the time. “I’ve got to keep some surprises.”
