NEED TO KNOW

  • “Looksmaxxing” influencer Braden Peters, known as Clavicular, is facing multiple charges, including rape and drugging someone for sexual intercourse
  • The alleged offenses occurred on May 23, 2025, according to online court records, with the charges filed on Sept. 8, 2026
  • Peters, 20, is due to be arraigned on Wednesday, Oct. 14, with his rep telling PEOPLE that he has not been “physically served”

Controversial “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular is facing multiple charges, including rape, in Massachusetts, online court records show.

The 20-year-old content creator, whose real name is Braden Peters, has three charges listed against him. These include one count of rape, one count of drugging someone for sexual intercourse and a third for procuring liquor while under the age of 21, per the court records obtained by PEOPLE. The latter charge is a misdemeanor.

The date of the alleged offenses is listed as May 23, 2025, per the records, and the charges were filed on Sept. 8, 2026. More details on the allegations were not immediately available, and the online court records do not name a victim, in line with Massachusetts law.

An arraignment has been scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14. The Bulwark was the first to report the charges.

A rep for Peters told PEOPLE that “Clavicular has not been physically served,” and claimed The Bulwark was “exaggerating for traffic.”

The Bulwark told PEOPLE in a statement, “In terms of Clavicular’s spokesman, he has not notified of us of any factual errors in the story. Anyone can look up these court documents and see for themselves.”

Peters rose to prominence as part of the “looksmaxxing” community — a controversial sect of the internet populated by young men who strive to maximize their attractiveness in often extreme ways.

In April, Peters was sued by influencer Aleksandra Vasilevna Mendoza — who is known online as Alorah Ziva — for allegations of battery, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Mendoza filed the complaint against the streamer in Florida. The complaint, which was obtained by PEOPLE, alleged that she met Peters in 2025 when she was underage and that he paid her $1,000 to film videos for him.

Mendoza, who is now 18, alleged that after filming four videos about “looksmaxxing” for Peters, they were texting when he ordered her an Uber to meet him at his parents’ home in Cape Cod, Mass.

The teenager said she went in the hopes that meeting Peters in person would boost her online presence. The complaint stated that when she arrived at the house, “excessive amounts of alcohol” were being served.

She claimed that she became “inebriated and visibly intoxicated” after being served “multiple servings of vodka” by Peters. She then alleged that he had sex with her. Mendoza claimed in the document that she “woke up with Peters penetrating her and having sex with her, again, without her consent.”

The online court records do not state whether the September charges against Peters are related to the allegations listed in the lawsuit filed in April.

The complaint stated that after that evening, Mendoza said she and Clavicular did not speak for several months, but that they ran into each other in November 2025, when she accepted an invitation to stream with him and his friends.

During the streaming session, Mendoza claimed that Peters injected Aqualyx, a treatment designed to dissolve fat deposits that has not been approved by the FDA, into her face and streamed himself giving her the treatment without her permission, per the complaint.

“During the video, Peters stated or suggested that methamphetamine had been added to the injection mixture,” the complaint read. “After the first injection, Plaintiff appeared drugged on camera. Plaintiff believes that she may have been injected with methamphetamine or another undisclosed substance.”

Peters’ attorney Steve Kramer told PEOPLE at the time that the allegations “remain unproven,” adding, “Mr. Peters denies the claims and disputes the characterization of events. He will respond through the appropriate legal channels and intends to vigorously defend himself.”

In a series of posts to X on Sept. 21, Peters addressed the lawsuit in the wake of the criminal charges, sharing alleged messages and a letter he received from Mendoza. “Trying to get my attention in anyway [sic] possible, a lawsuit? Seriously… really petty of you,” he wrote in one post.
