Lily Collins is celebrating five years of marriage with Charlie McDowell.
The Emily in Paris star, 37, shared several photos on Instagram taking a look back at the pair’s wedding on Sept. 4, 2021 to celebrate their fifth anniversary — along with a more current photo of their family.
She opened her collage with a shot of her and McDowell, 43, holding hands on their wedding day with big smiles on their faces. The groom wore a black suit jacket with matching pants and a bow tie as the bride wore a lace long-sleeved dress.
Additional black and white photos showed the couple sharing a smooch as they held hands under their wedding lights and sharing a sweet hug. The actress also included a polaroid of the couple holding hands inside a room full of books and walking side by side outdoors together.

She ended the post with a recent picture of her and McDowell playing with their daughter Tove Jane, 19 mos., inside a tent. The little girl, whose face was blocked out with a heart, could be seen laughing as she sat in between her parents.
“Five years ago today, I married my favorite person and best friend,” Collins captioned the post. “Charlie — half a decade of us supporting each other, making each other laugh, navigating whatever came our way, taking on new adventures, and building a life that feels so uniquely ours.”
The Love, Rosie actress went on to say that the pair have “continued to grow” and create a “life we love” throughout “all the changes and everything our journey has brought us,” and that she was grateful for the way he has “believed” in her and made her feel like she never “had to take on anything alone.”
“And then there’s Tove — our greatest little blessing and the sweetest part of everything we’ve created together,” she said. “Watching you become a dad and getting to experience this chapter as a family has been one of the greatest joys of my life. And to think, it’s all just getting started…”
“Five years down, and forever to go, my one…,” Collins said concluding her post.
McDowell shared his own Instagram post celebrating the occasion alongside a photo of his wife and daughter on a teacup ride together.
“Happy 5th anniversary, my love. You’re the best wife, mom, and person I know. Thank you for being the glue that keeps us together,” he captioned the photo.

The pair initially sparked dating rumors in July 2019, one month before they made their relationship Instagram official. They got engaged in 2020 and tied the knot a year later.
While the couple has primarily stayed out of the spotlight, they have shared tributes to each other and to their daughter, who they announced they welcomed via surrogate in January 2025.
“Welcome to the center of our world Tove Jane McDowell,” Collins wrote in a joint Instagram announcement, adding, “Words will never express our endless gratitude for our incredible surrogate and everyone who helped us along the way. We love you to the moon and back again.”
