Kristen Stewart, born April 9, 1990, is an American actress and filmmaker who began her career as a child star, appearing in films like Panic Room, Catch That Kid, and Zathura: A Space Adventure. She rose to global fame in 2008 with the first installment of the Twilight saga, becoming a household name for her role as Bella Swan.
She went on to reprise the role through the franchise’s final film in 2012 before transitioning into more independent and critically acclaimed projects, including Clouds of Sils Maria, Personal Shopper, and Certain Women, as well as mainstream titles like Happiest Season. In recent years, she has continued to evolve creatively, earning widespread praise — including an Academy Award nomination — for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer. She has also expanded behind the camera, making her feature directorial debut with The Chronology of Water, which premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to strong reviews.
In her personal life, Stewart married screenwriter Dylan Meyer on April 20, 2025, in an intimate Los Angeles ceremony after several years together and a 2021 engagement.
