Krispy Kreme has revealed its latest collaboration.
On Thursday, Aug. 13, the doughnut chain announced that it has teamed up with The Pokémon Company International to introduce six brand-new Pokémon-themed doughnuts across the United States. The collaboration is in celebration of the beloved franchise’s 30-year anniversary.
The Pokémon Doughnut Collection, showcasing Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Jigglypuff and a Poké Ball, will be available beginning Tuesday, Aug. 18.
In addition to the doughnut collection, Krispy Kreme will also sell special-edition Pokémon cups that come in six different designs and are filled with 10 Glazed Gold Dots.

Those wanting to catch them all will be treated to a variety of different flavors and designs.
Starting with the Poké Ball doughnut, it has a glazed base dipped in vanilla icing and half covered in red sprinkles. The signature design is completed with chocolate piping.

The Pikachu treat is a delightful homage to the electric mascot. The bright yellow doughnut has a shocking lemon filling topped with vanilla icing. It is decorated with a yellow drizzle and yellow nonpareils.
The collection continues with Bulbasaur, a glazed doughnut with blue vanilla icing and a green frosting design, and Jigglypuff, a glazed doughnut with strawberry buttercream and strawberry cookie crumbs.

There’s also a Squirtle glazed doughnut that has swirls of blue cotton candy buttercream dipped in sugar and nonpareils.
The collection is completed with Charmander, a doughnut with chocolate and toasted marshmallow filling dipped in orange caramel icing and covered in red and gold sugar.
Each doughnut is topped with pieces resembling their corresponding characters.

Those who order a Pokémon dozen will receive their treats in special-edition packaging featuring the five iconic characters.
In honor of the release, customers in Pokémon attire can get a free glazed doughnut at locations on Aug. 22.
“We had so much fun bringing the world of Pokémon to life through doughnuts in a way only Krispy Kreme can. From Pokémon-inspired creations and playful flavors to themed cups, special packaging and fan surprises, this collection is made to be caught and shared as we celebrate 30 incredible years of Pokémon,” said Alison Holder, Chief Brand and Product Officer at Krispy Kreme, in a statement.
Pokémon debuted as a role-playing game by Satoshi Tajiri in February 1996. The franchise has since spun off into a manga series, a trading card game, a long-running anime series and several movies.
Pokémon received a new wave of energy in 2016 with the release of Pokémon Go.
The doughnut collection will be available in stores and for pickup or delivery. The special dozen can be preordered on the Krispy Kreme website.
Some locations may also offer a special 6-pack with the new doughnuts.
