Moment of truth.
Kim Kardashian finally revealed why she and mom Kris Jenner suspiciously deleted their photos of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry off Instagram last November.
“It was really innocent, which is so crazy,” the Skims co-founder said on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, “Khloé In Wonder Land,” Wednesday.
“Mom and Meghan have been friends for some years now, and they have a really sweet relationship,” Kim, 45, added.
The mom of four said she and the famed momager went through photos from Jenner’s star-studded 70th birthday bash to see which snaps they would post online.
“We were told that it was totally cool to post. And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn’t want to be seen at a party, even though it’s already up, you know, and then taken down,” Kim recalled.
“And then I think they realized, like, ‘Oh, this was so silly,’” she added.
Kim said the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being photographed at the Baby2Baby Gala earlier that night may have been “fine,” but “maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever.”
“So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day,” she said to Khloé, referring to the holiday that honors armed forces members who have died in the line of duty.
“You got to laugh at, like, the situation sometimes and just, like, lighten it up and be if everyone’s taking it the wrong way, like, lean in,” Kim added.
“I was like, ‘We should do a full Skims campaign.’ Take the photo — even just us, like, I’ll shoot you at mom, you know, post it and then delete it, like, 30 minutes later. And then say, ‘Oh, sorry, I didn’t have permission to post those photos for the campaign,’” she said.
The “Kardashians” star said the drama would have been “received differently” if they “made it light and made it funny.”
“But I hated how that was received for everyone,” she shared.
“That sucks. It was just made into something that was so crazy and ridiculous that just didn’t have to be.”
Page Six has reached out to a rep for the Sussexes for comment but did not immediately hear back.
As Page Six previously reported, Harry, 41, and Markle, 44, made headlines after attending Jenner’s 70th birthday party on November 8, 2025.
The couple walked hand in hand as they arrived at the bash held at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s $175 million Beverly Hills, Calif., mansion.
The “Harry & Meghan” stars mingled and networked with the A-listers, which included Kim, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Bill Gates, Paris Hilton, Tyler Perry, Ciara, Mark Zuckerberg and many more.
After the party, the “All’s Fair” actress and her mom shared a carousel of photos, including one with the “Suits” alum and her beau.
However, soon after, Kim and Jenner suspiciously deleted the photos they took with the Sussexes.
A source told Page Six that people close to the royal family thought Harry and Markle’s appearance at the bash was “so tacky.”
“It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy,” the insider told us at the time.
A source told us that the Invictus Games founder and the actress’s rep asked Jenner and Kim to remove Instagram pictures that showed them at the party so they wouldn’t further “piss off” the royal family as they try to reconcile.
Another insider told us that the Kardashian-Jenner family was “getting annoyed with the Sussex camp” for “overshadowing” what was intended to be “a celebration of Kris.”
The fallout from the photo drama became their 11th publicist Meredith Maines’ “final straw” before she quit her role as the Sussexes’ chief communications officer of Archewell Philanthropies.
