Keke Palmer can’t afford these feelings.
The multi-hyphenate’s new music video for the song “Afford It,” with DivaGurl is here, PEOPLE can exclusively reveal. Palmer, 31, who stars in the new buddy comedy One of Them Days sings about the value in relationships.
In the music video, Palmer appears as Keyana (going by her middle name) with the girl group. Dripping in diamonds and donning sleek shades, the singers dance in nightclubs and keep suitors at bay, intercut with scenes from the upcoming movie.
“Know you tend to get caught up in the fast life/How many times should’ve been the last time?” she sings in the pre-chorus. “Rather lose a couple thousand/Than to beg for you to be honest.”
“I caught some feelings, can’t afford/Said I wouldn’t fall for it no more/If you with me, better be sure/If it ain’t that, I can’t afford it, can’t afford it,” she continues.

Palmer exclusively tells PEOPLE about her excitement to work with DivaGurl after teaming up with them for the “S.O.B.” music video.
“I am really excited for the world to get to experience the universe of DivaGurl and the force that is Keyana,” she gushes of the group made up of Sadé, LaShay and Monét of DivaGurl.

In June, the podcast host told PEOPLE about how she wound up working with DivaGurl in the first place. “I heard a few songs from the DivaGurl album, and I fell in love,” Palmer said at the time. “I was so impressed that I asked them to open for me on tour, and we even documented it for my network KeyTV.”
She added: “These girls are stunning, their individual style is incredible, and they bring that nostalgic girl group energy that the industry has been missing.”

One of Them Days follows Los Angeles-based best friends and roommates Dreux (Palmer) and Alyssa (SZA) on their misadventures as they try to come up with their rent money to avoid getting convicted.
