The Princess of Wales is wrapped in red.
Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey for her fourth annual “Together at Christmas” carol service on Friday in a look that embodied festive elegance.
The 42-year-old royal wore a double-breasted red Alexander McQueen coat topped with a black velvet bow, along with high-heeled black suede boots and a plaid midi skirt.
Kate accessorized with Mulberry pearl earrings and a slim cuff bracelet, her signature bouncy brunette blowout looking as glossy as ever.
While the princess arrived at Westminster Abbey solo, she was later joined by husband Prince William and their three children — Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — for the concert itself, which 1,600 people are expected to attend.
“This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives,” Kensington Palace shared in a statement last month.
“The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy in others in their communities, whether on a personal level with friends and family, through their work or as they selflessly give up their time through volunteering.”
It’s been a difficult year for the Princess of Wales, who in September announced that she’d completed chemotherapy following a nine-month cancer battle.
But Middleton’s recently returned to her royal duties, having attended last month’s Remembrance Day festivities and welcomed the Emir of the State of Qatar to the UK earlier this week, dressed in the colors of the Qatari flag.
