Josh Hall isn’t letting his ex Christina Haack’s comments about their relationship ruin his day.
On Monday, Nov. 18, Hall, 43, shared a photo to his Instagram Stories that featured a stunning view of the Tennessee sunrise from a porch. In the snapshot, rolling green hills can be seen on the horizon, as an American flag also hangs in the frame.
Hall included a clip of The Rascals’ song “A Beautiful Morning” in his post.
The social media post comes shortly after his ex wife Haack, 41, spoke out about the unpleasant experience of filming the upcoming HGTV series The Flip Off together amid their split.
Last week, Haack told Entertainment Tonight that it had been tough shooting the new show — which also stars her first husband Tarek El Moussa and his new wife Heather Rae El Moussa.
“When someone is insecure by you and doesn’t like to watch you win, that really puts a damper on everything,” Haack said of working with Hall. “I feel like I was not shining as bright, to try to not make him feel emasculated. But who wants to live like that?”
“It was not fun, to be honest,” she continued. “I did not enjoy filming with him, so having split up made this, to be honest, so much easier and so much better in every way.”
Haack also seemingly confirmed Hall’s official exit from the show, saying, it “would have been hard to film” if he continued on the show. Haack was spotted returning to set without her estranged husband shortly after news of his divorce filing became public in July, though HGTV has yet to comment on the status of his involvement, if any.
She also claimed to ET that Hall was jealous of her dynamic with ex Tarek, 43, with whom she shares kids Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8 (she is also mom to 5-year-old Hudson, whom she shares with her second husband, Ant Anstead).
“[Hall] doesn’t like our dynamic, because Tarek and I have our own dynamic, and some could call it ‘flirty,’” the Christina on the Coast star explained. “For me, it’s like a sibling type of thing.”

Hall filed for divorce from Haack on July 15 after nearly three years of marriage. The formerly Austin-based real estate professional cited “irreconcilable differences” and requested spousal support from the HGTV star. However, she responded with her own legal filing a week later, asking that neither be allowed to ask for spousal support.
Tennessee — specifically the Nashville suburb of Leiper’s Fork — has been at the center of the pair’s divorce proceedings. Haack owns a multimillion-dollar farmhouse in the town, which serves as the setting for her HGTV spinoff Christina in the Country.
A legal agreement filed in September and obtained by PEOPLE stated that Hall could stay in the Tennessee house as long as it was not being rented out after he moved out of their $12 million mansion in Newport Beach, Calif. in early August. Haack then listed the home for $4.5 million in October.
Hall filed an ex parte to try to block any potential sale, which Haack refuted, PEOPLE previously reported, and a representative for Hall told PEOPLE later in October that he was not currently staying in the Leiper’s Fork farmhouse.
Haack removed it from the market in November, PEOPLE confirmed.
The former couple began dating in March 2021, and went public with their relationship that July. After they secretly tied the knot in October 2021, Christina and Josh held a second wedding ceremony in Hawaii in September 2022 that was attended by their close friends and family.
