Jon Hamm is opening up about the special experience of getting to work with his wife Anna Osceola on Your Friends & Neighbors.
The couple is back in season 2 of the Apple TV series, with Hamm, 58, starring as Andrew "Coop" Cooper, a former hedge fund manager-turned-thief, and Osceola, 37, as Maggie Haber, a member of his neighborhood friend group.
"It was great to have my wife, Anna, come in and be a part of it," Hamm tells PEOPLE. "It's fun to go to work together. We get to bring the dog in as well sometimes, so that's nice. We save money on dog sitting."
In addition to the money saved on dog care, Hamm says another unexpected perk of getting to work with Osceola, whom he married in 2023, is not needing "to have an hour long conversation on what I did at work."
"We can save all that time," he says. "It's great."

Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbors sees Coop doubling down on his life as a suburban thief — that is, until his new neighbor Owen Ashe (James Marsden) threatens to expose his secrets, putting his family at risk.
"I think his whole season is kind of him really looking at his situation that he has gotten himself into and understanding that it's not sustainable, and he better figure out a way to get out of this and it seemingly getting more and more complicated and convoluted," Hamm says. "Obviously, having James, this incredible character who is an agent of chaos, makes it a lot more difficult."
Hamm says it was "wonderful" getting to share scenes with Marsden, 52.
"James is a tremendously talented guy," he says. "We were lucky to get him. He's got a pretty packed schedule with not only Paradise, but also his incredible return to the Marvel universe as Cyclops, so were thrilled that he was able to fit us into his schedule. He knocked it out of the park."
Over the course of these past two seasons, Hamm says he's connected most with Coop's desire "to provide for his family."
"He deeply cares about his ex-wife and his parents and his sister," he says. "I think that all of those things are what redeems Coop when we see him doing the bad things that he does."
The show has already been renewed for a third season.
"I'm excited to get to continue to tell the story," Hamm says. "It's a great character, and I was pleased that we were asked to come back for a second season, and now I'm more pleased we get to come back for a third."
New episodes of Your Friends & Neighbors drop Fridays on Apple TV.
