Jinger Duggar Vuolo is going to be a boy mom!
On Jan. 14, the reality star, 31, revealed the sex of her third child with her husband Jeremy Vuolo, 37, three months after announcing the news of their pregnancy.
“We’re having a boy and we’re very excited,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I was so shocked to find out it was a boy, because I feel like everything felt the same. I actually had a lot of similarities to the pregnancy with the girls.”
“I was so shocked, I almost fell off my chair,” she laughed, adding that having a boy was a “foreign thing” to the couple after welcoming two girls. “I was like, ‘How is this the boy gonna fit in?’ But we are keeping the name a secret until the baby’s born, which is what we always do.”
Jinger noted that the two have faced less “judgment” with names after choosing to wait until the baby is born.
“We’ve had like friends who’ve had issues with people like, ‘Oh, I’m gonna share the name, and then no one likes it,'” she explained. “But once that baby’s born, everybody thinks it’s the cutest name ever. So that’s our that’s our motto, our theory on it.”
In October 2024, PEOPLE exclusively revealed that Jinger was expecting her third child, due in March 2025. The couple, who wed in November 2016, have already welcomed daughters Felicity, 6, and Evangeline, 3.
“We’re super excited,” she said, adding how relieved she was her pregnancy wasn’t taking place during the summer. “I’m actually all about it. Especially in the heat the past few days, I think I’m not super big pregnant and so I’m not having to worry about the extra heat. I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is going to be such an awesome thing to go through pregnancy, not in the summer.'”

Jeremy also told PEOPLE that he was “still shocked” to learn about the pregnancy even though the news was something he was expecting.
“When she told me, I was literally speechless,” he recalled of how he found out. “She got me good. It was on Felicity’s birthday. Jinger says, ‘I’ve got a gift for you.’ It was in an Amazon bag. So I’m thinking, ‘What did she get from Amazon for me?’ Then I open it up and it’s the positive result, and I’m actually speechless.”
