Chicago P.D. alums Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos are continuing to fuel romance rumors.
Spiridakos shared a photo on Monday, Dec. 9, of the former costars spending the night together. In the selfie, Soffer is smoking a cigar as he leans his leg against the couch Spiridakos is sitting on while she smiles for the camera.
“Wine and cigar night 😁,” she captioned the post.
“Oh for cute!” Chicago P.D. star Patrick Flueger commented.
A fan wrote, “Love seeing you two together! You just made my day! Can’t say it enough, Thanks for sharing your life with us! Upstead forever!♾️,” referring to the ship name for their characters Jay Halstead and Hailey Upton.
“Our fave duo,” said another.
The pair has sparked dating speculation for several months after traveling to Europe together in August. At the time, Spiridakos shared a series of images of them in Lisbon, Portugal sightseeing and enjoying meals.
Soffer posted the same photo, captioning it, “Europe is is [sic] kinda cool 😘😘”
They have yet to confirm or deny the relationship, but the two have been spending a lot of time together after Soffer’s 2022 departure from the NBC series. (Spiridakos also left in 2024.)
Before that, the actors worked alongside one another for five years, with Spiridakos joining the Chicago P.D. cast during the second half of season 4 in 2017 and Soffer having been part of the show since the pilot.
Their characters were eventually romantically involved, sharing a highly-anticipated kiss in season 8, which Spiridakos teased on her Instagram in April 2021.
“Jay may or may not tell Hailey he loves her and she may or may not completely freak out and run out of her own apartment,” she captioned a photo of them sitting on a stoop.
By the season 9 finale, Hailey and Jay got married, but they divorced when Soffer exited at the start of season 10.
“I guess the word is out…Jesse, what can I say, you’re the absolute best,” Spiridakos wrote on Instagram in August 2022. “Thank you for your kindness, your guidance and your friendship.”
“You’re the greatest onscreen husband a girl could ask for,” she continued. “I’ll miss being on set with you every day. I can’t wait to see what the world has in store for you next.”
