Plus, other spring-ready styles from Skechers, Adidas, and New Balance
I’ve worn the same supportive sneaker to more than 1,200 group fitness classes — and now that they’re on sale, I’m grabbing a pair in another color.
The Rykä Influence Training Shoes have been my go-to style because they’re comfortable and breathable (my non-negotiables for sneakers) — but they’re not the only pair to catch my eye this week. Amazon has quietly marked down popular Skechers, New Balance, and Adidas styles — just in time to refresh my workout wardrobe for spring classes.
Below, I dive into what I love about my Rykä sneakers and share more styles to score from Amazon’s Sneaker Shop starting at $40.

Rykä Influence Training Shoes

$90 $70 at Amazon
My dance fitness classes are intense, but these Rykäs have never quit on me. They have cushioned soles to prevent my feet from getting sore, no matter how much jumping and sliding I do. Plus, their pivot points — smooth circles located at the ball of the foot — let me twist and spin without resistance, putting less stress on my knees.
Thanks to their soft mesh panels, I can move my feet naturally while dancing, which means no pinching or pulling across my instep. The mesh also lets my feet breathe. I’ve noticed that they sweat much less in these shoes compared to other brands I’ve tried. I have them in three colors, and I’m grabbing them in vapor gray to round out my collection.
New Balance Fresh Foam 520 V9 Running Shoes

$70 $60 at Amazon
I’ve worn these New Balance shoes for both treadmill walking and traveling, and I’m in awe of how comfortable they are. They have plenty of arch support as well as thick outsoles to absorb shock. Because they’re lightweight, my feet don’t feel fatigued after wearing them for several hours.
Even with their flexible sock-like fabric, the sneakers are rigid enough to prevent my feet from sliding around inside. I’m a fan of the stability these shoes give me, as I’ve had a few foot and ankle injuries and need all the support that I can get. Bonus: They dry super fast if you get caught in the rain or step into a puddle.
Skechers Go Walk Flex Grand Entry Sneakers

$87 $50 at Amazon
I’m eyeing these popular Skechers because they’re simple to slip on and off for barefoot classes like Pilates and yoga. Their cushioned heel cups prevent chafing and mold to the back of your foot for a snug fit. Plus, it’s easy to keep them looking (and smelling) fresh since I can toss them into the washing machine. They also have a grippy outsole to prevent me from slipping on slick gym floors. It’s no surprise that these Skechers are Amazon’s No. 1 best-selling walking shoe.
